The Ministers In Training (MIT) Program at SALT Community Worship Center is a vocational ministry formation experience for those who sense God’s call and are ready to walk it out with intention, submission, and obedience. MIT is designed for emerging and developing leaders who desire more than knowledge—they desire transformation.
This program emphasizes how to walk in your calling, how to grow in intimacy with God, and how to live a life that reflects Christ in character, conduct, and service. Instruction is application-focused, discipleship-driven, and rooted in Scripture, with hands-on ministry exposure, spiritual accountability, and practical leadership development. “Commit these things to faithful people who will be able to teach others also” (2 Timothy 2:2).
MIT exists to equip and mature leaders for service in the Church and the Kingdom of God, helping participants become grounded, submitted, and effective servants—prepared not only to lead, but to serve well. “To equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ” (Ephesians 4:11–12).

Successful completion of the MIT Program looks like a spiritually grounded, accountable, and practically equipped ministry leader—one who has grown in intimacy with God, gained clarity in their calling, demonstrated Christ-like character, and is prepared to serve faithfully and effectively in the local church and the work of the Kingdom. Completion of the program DOES NOT guarantee Ordination/Affirmation. Each certification is a case-by-case situation completely under the guidance and instruction of Holy Spirit. We do not license students and every student is affirmed/ordained and released. SALTCWC, MIT and all divisions do not hold certifications.
Students may receive the following:
